WEEK 6 - EXP 2: THE SPACE BETWEEN; CONCEPTS
Architectural Concepts in relation to each respective architect:
- Bernard Tschumi:
- Configuration of space leads to balance
- Deconstruction leads to construction
- Freeform/ Seamlessness.
- Creating seamless form from existing flaws (building from what is readily available or existent).
- Continuous Participation/Movement established within building leads to balance; an integral component of architecture which allows the "completion" of a building's presence
- "Meaning" overrides physicality.
- Translation of a message has high importance in the creation of Tschumi's architecture.
- Main movement or circulation leads priority, leading to natural extraction of homogenous materials at last moment.
- Yakov Chernikhov
- Post-Modern/ Avant-garde drawings (Revolutionary drawings)
- Incarnation in volumetric-spatial forms of human conceptions leads to new styles, rather than the reshaping of basic existing form.
